Salary: Up to £55,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join a brand-new store opening in Dalston, London.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality eye care services, including comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of visual conditions. A strong commitment to patient-centred care and the ability to work confidently with patients of all ages, especially seniors, is essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced Optometrists looking to join a supportive and growing practice.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye health issues
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate treatment plans
  • Educate patients on eye health, preventative care, and correct eyewear usage
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Stay informed about advancements in optometry and best clinical practices
  • Support community outreach initiatives promoting eye health awareness

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid UK optometry licence / GOC registration
  • Strong understanding of visual system anatomy and eye health
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills
  • Comfortable working with elderly patients
  • Proficient in using modern optometric diagnostic equipment
  • Highly organised with strong attention to clinical detail
