In-House Solicitor
Location: Glasgow City Centre, on-site
Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading provider of eye care services in the UK. They are looking for an In-House Solicitor to join their legal team and provide support across medical malpractice claims, contract drafting, regulatory matters, and more.
Main Responsibilities
- Work as part of the in-house legal team covering a varied portfolio including:
- UK-wide medical malpractice claims
- Contract drafting
- Regulatory matters
- Act as Panel Solicitor and liaise with insurers, solicitor firms, and party litigants
- Manage an individual pre-litigated and litigated caseload with minimal supervision
- Provide clear advice and reports, obtaining instructions from key stakeholders including Board members and insurers
- Offer legal support and guidance across the business as required
Essential Attributes
- Qualified Solicitor in Scotland with a current practising certificate from the Law Society of Scotland
- Solid understanding of medical malpractice and personal injury litigation
- Experience managing an individual caseload autonomously
- 3+ years PQE preferred (other suitable candidates will be considered)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent IT, administrative, and organisational skills
- Strong commercial awareness and business understanding
Desirable Attributes
- Dual qualification in Scots and English Law (desirable but not essential)
- Knowledge of the English legal system
- Previous experience in an in-house legal team
